Hogmanay @ The Douglas Hotel

Escape to your favourite Scottish island to celebrate Hogmanay in style! We consider the Festive Season to be a special time of year and would love you to join us this New Year! You can choose to stay 2 or 3 nights on our Hogmanay Package inclusive of bed and full Scottish breakfast, dinner, entertainment and our fabulous 4-Course Gala Dinner & Dance on Hogmanay complete with fireworks at the bells!

• Your first evening is a lovely, relaxed affair, join us for welcome drinks & canapés before dinner, meet our Hogmanay Hosts and get to know your fellow Hogmanay revellers.
• Evening Dinner will be served in our Bistro, at a time of your choosing. Guests have a £50 dining allowance included per room.  Followed by live acoustic entertainment in our Bar from 9pm.

• Enjoy a laid-back morning starting with a Full Scottish Breakfast to set you up for the day ahead!
• We begin our countdown to Hogmanay at 7pm with cocktails & canapés, followed by a fabulous four-course Gala Dinner.
• Our inhouse DJ will entertain you with both Scottish Ceilidh and a fabulous mix of music to keep you on the dancefloor, breaking for the “bells” where our Piper will lead you out to the terrace just before midnight.
• We will pop open the bubbly from our Prosecco Pony and celebrate with a spectacular fireworks display.  All guests will then return inside to dance the night away into the small hours!

• New Year’s Day is traditionally a day for relaxation, reflection and enjoying good food & company. Full Scottish Breakfast will be complimented by some bubbly to vanquish the cobwebs.
• Then join us from 11.30am for a Douglas Bloody Mary (or virgin Mary if preferred) before participating in our annual Douglas Dook at 12 noon from the jetty (if you do not wish to participate, it’s worth noting this is also a great spectator sport, as lots of our guests and locals like to dress up for the event) Back at the Hotel, hot soup awaits to warm you up! 
• Relax in the afternoon with some live acoustic entertainment in the bar or some good old fashioned board games in our lounge.
• Evening Dinner will be served in our Bistro, at a time of your choosing. Guests have a £50 dining allowance included per room. Followed by more live entertainment to end our Hogmanay celebrations!
