A night at The Douglas is one you won’t forget, and for all the right reasons. Our nineteen rooms and two suites are generous in their size and comfort. They’re hugely proportioned with high ceilings, picture windows, and enough space to do a Highland Fling!

Individually designed in a modern, stylish, and luxurious manner, each room is accented by specially chosen furniture, with splashes of island-inspired colour and adorned with a local photographer’s stunning landscape.

Super-king-sized beds with the finest hypoallergenic linen and luxurious soft mattress toppers ensure a good night’s sleep, while bathrooms – also generous – have plush bath sheets and deliciously scented Apothecary toiletries by Arran Aromatics that make bath-time a pleasure. (There’s even a complimentary Douglas Duck to take home with you!)

All rooms are supplied with creature comforts to ensure it’s home away from home – bathrobes & slippers, tea/coffee making facilities, delectable biscuits from our local bakery, a Douglas branded umbrella for use in the rare Scottish rain, iron & ironing board, in-room safe, hairdryer, smart TV and complimentary Wi-Fi.

Our Goatfell Suite and Balcony Suite offer 180-degree breath-taking panoramic views over Brodick Bay & Goat Fell. And our Executive Sea View rooms are front-facing with uninterrupted beautiful sea-views too, so please ask when you book to see what’s available.

We have two partially adapted rooms at The Douglas Hotel.  Both rooms are generously sized to accommodate wheelchair users and motorized scooters, but as you will note, each offers a different style of bathroom to suit our guests’ requirements:

Room 001 – Ground floor Executive room that can be made as double or twin. The room is situated to the rear of the Hotel with patio doors out to an enclosed garden/patio.  This room is partially adapted with an en-suite wet room/walk in shower. It also has a non-slip shower chair available, for extra peace of mind, if required.

Room 104 – First floor Executive Seaview double complete with adapted bathroom including a lower  bath with shower over and additional fixed hand & safety rails.  The room boasts a spectacular sea-view as it is situated at the front of the Hotel.  It also has a non-slip safety step for extra peace of mind stepping in and out of the bath.

The Hotel has lift access to all floors and lovely wide corridors and doorways for ease of movement around the Hotel.  There is also accessible parking at the main hotel entrance.
