The Douglas Bar always offers a warm welcome and, we think, one of the best views on the Island. Our whisky, spirits and drinks list is continually evolving and boasts fine malts and speciality gins from many parts of Ayrshire and Scotland to add a thrilling variety (We thoroughly recommend trying our very own islands fabulous Arran Gin and Whisky collection)

Our talented Kitchen Brigade use seasonal and fresh ingredients, sourced locally (whenever possible) from Arran, Ayrshire and Scotland.  Classic dishes with surprising twists and established favourites can be enjoyed in both our Bistro and Bar – with our understated décor and friendly, hospitable service combining to ensure a memorable dining experience only to be found on Arran.

The Douglas menu seeks to promote and support the island’s cottage producers, with local treats such as Wooley’s oatcakes, Island cheeses, Paterson Arran mustards and preserves tastefully incorporated into the menu, the famous, Arran Dairies ice cream and even Arran Gin, Whisky & Brewery Ales incorporated into the menu. We also offer daily specials to celebrate currently seasonal produce to complement our menus.
